- The desktop app allows users to make a call by clicking on 'Phone' and opening the dial pad either through the plus button next to 'Call History' or 'Make a Call' button. - Users can search for a contact by entering their name, number, or extension and start a call by clicking on the search results or by entering a number or extension using the dial pad buttons and clicking the green button. - Calls can also be made from the call history by clicking on the 'Recent Calls' icon on the dial pad, which shows a list of recently used or missed numbers. - The app also allows calling back a recent number from the 'All Calls', 'Missed Calls', 'Call Recordings', and 'All Voicemail' lists, but if the app window is minimized, users may need to click the 'More' button to access the phone icon to make a call.
