Overview and Accessibility: The Expensify mobile app is available for both iOS and Android devices and is designed to simplify the management of expenses through features such as smart scanning, expense submission, and report approval. Inbox and Setup: Upon logging in, users see their inbox, which serves as a to-do list for account setup, policy building, and managing reports or invoices. Task cards guide new users through initial setup, and for admins, it's where they can create group policy rules. SmartScan Feature: By using the SmartScan feature, users can capture receipts with their camera, and the app automatically extracts details like merchant, date, and amount. Users can then categorize these according to predefined policy requirements. Expense Management: Users can view and manage their expenses and reports from within the app. Expenses are automatically audited against policy rules, and violations are highlighted via notifications. The app also supports automatic digital receipt creation for transactions made with the Expensify card. Approval and Customization: Approvers receive notifications to review reports, which can be approved or rejected at the item or report level. Users can customize their accounts and contact support through the app for any inquiries, ensuring comprehensive management of expenses.
