For updates across multiple projects, users can use the Activity feature to see everything that happened across all their projects, including to-do items, comments, and file shares. Basecamp’s "Hey!" menu consolidates all personal notifications in one place, making it easy to stay informed about updates specific to the user. The video emphasizes that Basecamp provides a streamlined, efficient way to get up to speed, contrasting it with the more cumbersome traditional methods.

The Basecamp home screen is introduced by Kimberly from the Customer Success team, who explains its layout and features. At the top of the home screen, users can see and customize their company logo or name, create new projects, and invite people to the account. The middle section displays projects, with pinned projects at the top that can be manually ordered, and unpinned projects listed alphabetically below. Users can view all projects in a list, filter the list, and use the Command or Control J shortcut to quickly navigate between projects. Below the projects, the home screen shows an abbreviated list of the user’s schedule and assignments, with options to expand these views, and features a persistent navigation bar for easy access across pages.
